Your Daily Load would like to first apologize for not having this story posted sooner. Unfortunately, most media outlets in the United States are not reporting on the current revolution overtaking France, and the ones that are claim that these protests are only occurring because President Macron passed raising the retirement age. This is far from the truth. Your Daily Load reported on the Battle of Saint-Soline, which really depicts that what is occurring is more than just protests. If you have not already read that article, we strongly recommend that you do so you have a better understanding of what is happening in France. Activists have now taken more extreme measures, simply because they must. A few weeks ago, climate activists blocked a highway by building a wall across it using concrete blocks. After this wall was built, they then set the other side on fire. Pretty badass. There were around 8,500 people who occupied the road from Toulouse to the town of Castres (Gayle, 2023). This protest was sparked due to plans to build a new A69 motorway. Those who composed of the activists were farmers, environmentalists, communists, and anarchists. These activists were left undisturbed by police forces.
