39-year-old sex offender, Jesse McFadden had been convicted of first-degree rape in 2003, and was sentenced to serve a 20-years as a result. While he was serving his time, McFadden would utilize his phone calls to communicate with a 16-year-old girl, which included sending lewd photographs to her. McFadden was facing child pornography charges because of his communications with the 16-year-old girl. Because McFadden was a registered sex-offender, check-ins are required every 90 days. However, McFadden only had one documented check-in that occurred last June, and did not have any prior or further check-ins. Furthermore, when McFadden had this check-in, the individual conducting the check-in just ensured McFadden was residing where he said he was and that was the end of the check-in. This individual never even stepped foot in the McFadden residence. These murders could have been prevented if the justice system didn't drag their feet on every single case that gets brought forth, and if real check-ins were established to ensure McFadden wasn't endangering others around him.

McFadden had married Holly Guess less than a year ago. Holly and her three children were four of McFadden's 7 victims. Two of the victims were only at the McFadden residence for a sleepover. Here is the full list of the victims from this horrendous incident:

  • Ivy Webster (13)

  • Tiffany Guess (13)

  • Michael Mayo (15)

  • Brittany Brewer (16)

  • Rylee Allen (17)

  • Holly Guess (35)

  • Jesse McFadden (39)

It is believed that McFadden was evading his imminent return to prison. Since he did not want to return, he planned this murder-suicide. All victims were shot in the head, with some having more than one gunshot wound.

It is horrific that those who want to harm others have such an ease of access to acquire weapons to carry out this type of destruction.
