It is unsurprising to say the least, that Tennessee moves to protect gun manufacturers and companies instead of enacting legislation to protect children and others who are faced with gun violence in Tennessee. This comes right after a mass shooting occurred at Nashville Covenant School- a private Christian school on March 29, 2023. This is truly horrifying. Why would the state move to protect these companies from lawsuits involved in mass shootings? These companies and manufactures should be held liable and accountable for profiting off the death of school children. But of course, the United States government is corrupt on all fronts. Local and state officials are just as corrupt and avaricious as federal officials in the U.S. These officials will do anything to protect the interests of these manufactures. These manufactures are able to pay off officials and basically dictate what legislation is brought forth.
It is disheartening that the lives of children being taken by gun violence is not enough to make these unscrupulous law makers enact legislation that protects and serves children and all others who are victims of gun violence.
