Union Pacific Train Derails, Spilling 120 Gallons of Diesel

The United States is under attack by corporatism. Each railroad company instills immoral behaviors to maximize profits. Safety checks get bypassed, railroad crews are working with minimal support, and the railroads in the United States simply do not appear up to code.

Everyday there are multiple train derailments, and while not every derailment is toxic, these companies have displayed that the importance of getting freight to its destination in the quickest amount of time surpasses that of the safety of their crews and citizens of the U.S. It only takes one derailment to completely deracinate a town or city.

Late Saturday night on April 8, 2023, in American Falls, Idaho a Union Pacific train derailed, spilling 120 gallons of diesel fuel. There have been no injuries reported, and as of Sunday April 9, 2023, the clean-up was still underway.
