Updated Details About the Victims in Allen, Texas Shooting

This afternoon, the Texas Department of Public Safety identified five out of the eight victims, with three being withheld because they are minors, in the Allen, Texas outlet mall shooting. These three children have since been identified by other sources such as relatives.


The Cho family is now only survived by 6-year-old William Cho as his entire family was brutally murdered. They were on their way to exchange a birthday present that William received just two days prior. Kyu Song Cho, 37, Cindy Cho, 35, and James Cho, 3, all tragically lost their lives. It is not known who will care for William.

Another family had suffered devasting losses as Sofia Mendoza, 8, and Daniela Mendoza, 11, both lost their lives, with their mother Ilda Mendoza still in critical condition.

Elio Cumana-Rivas is a victim of this deadly massacre, who was 32 years old and lived in Dallas.

Christian LaCour, 23, was a security guard who was working Saturday. Max Weiss, an employee at a store in the outlet mall stated that LaCour was, "the kind of guy who would just walk into the store and everyone in the room would just light up because he was there... He brought laughter and joy."

Aishwarya Thatikonda, 27, was days away from turning 28 when she was fatally shot at the mall. Thatikonda was out shopping with her friend- who is still in the hospital and in critical condition.
